Sasha and Sam chose Bruisyard Country Estate in Suffolk for their black tie wedding, with a civil ceremony and a full day of celebrations all in one place. We provided both wedding photography and wedding videography, which meant the full story of the day was captured from start to finish.

The weather tried to cause problems. It was windy and the rain came and went. They took it in their stride and made the most of every dry moment. That relaxed approach kept the day running smoothly and helped everyone stay in the moment.

Bruisyard Country Estate works brilliantly for black tie weddings in Suffolk. You get open countryside, strong natural light, and flexible indoor spaces when the weather changes. Guests could move easily between the ceremony, drinks, and reception without needing to travel. That keeps energy high and avoids long gaps in the day.
The civil ceremony took place on site and felt calm and personal accompanied by live music from Josh Gernon As soon as the rain eased, we stepped outside for couple portraits while the light was soft and the sky added depth to the background. Quick decisions like this really help when the forecast is mixed.
Sasha looked amazing in her wedding dress from Courtyard Bridal and later changed into an evening dress that was perfect for the party. Sam did not look too bad either, and together they suited the black tie style of the day perfectly. They were relaxed, comfortable, and fully themselves, which always leads to better photos and video.
Hair was by Amy Ferris, who worked hard to keep everything in place despite the wind. Makeup was by Make Up by Sophie, with a clean look that held up from morning through to dancing. Flowers were by Garland Blooms, with designs that worked well both inside and outside, which is ideal for venues like Bruisyard.

Guest experience was a big focus. Liam Ball, also known as The Magical Wedding Host, handled MC duties and added close up magic during the reception, which kept the pace moving and guests engaged. In the evening, Boomting Bunting installed a disco ball ceiling over the dance floor, which transformed the room and set the tone for the party. Music was by Daryl from Sweet Vibe Events, who kept the floor busy all night.

Later on, guests made full use of the photo booth from The Photo Booth Company, which gave everyone a fun takeaway and kept the atmosphere lively right through to the end of the night.
From a photography and videography point of view, this wedding had a great balance of clean, classic moments and natural interactions. We used the outdoor spaces whenever the weather allowed and switched to indoor areas when the wind picked up. Bruisyard gives plenty of options, which is a big plus for weddings in Suffolk where the weather can change fast.
Sasha and Sam stayed calm and focused on enjoying their day. That set the tone for everyone else. When couples trust the plan and stay present, the results always show in the final photos and film.
If you are planning a black tie wedding at Bruisyard Country Estate or anywhere in Suffolk and are looking for both wedding photography and wedding videography, this venue works well in every season and gives you a strong mix of style, space, and light.
